Design Rules for Use of Member Logos

These principles apply to all NAGCAS member logos.

Colour options

The logo will be provided by NAGCAS with the NAGCAS red diamond and  black text or reversed out in white text. The logo version chosen should ensure there is sufficient contrast to maximise legibility.

Positive black versions are to be used on white or light coloured backgrounds.

The reversed out white version is to be used on black or dark coloured backgrounds.

·         Full colour logo should be used whenever possible. Single colour reproductions should only be used where full colour is not possible. NAGCAS will also provide a monotone version of the logo for this purpose.

Embossing

The logo may be blind embossed/raised on hard copy materials only, not as an effect on electronic media. Embossing may be applied in either a black or white version as previously described.

Space

The line around the logo below indicates the minimum space required.

It is important to preserve the sense of space around the logo to maintain the clarity of the design. The proportions shown must be maintained when the logo is reduced or enlarged. The border is calculated as a proportion of the size: 20% of the height, meaning a 10mm high logo will have a 2mm border.

 Scale

To ensure legibility the logo should not be depicted smaller than 10mm in height. Ensure the logo is scaled proportionally and no distortion occurs.
