The 2014 NAGCAS Annual General Meeting will be held on:

Tuesday 2 December, 3.55pm at the NAGCAS Conference, University of Wollongong, University Hall, Building 11

1. Draft Agenda

Please note:

At least thirty (30) days notice of a motion for a Special Resolution is required and notice of such a motion shall be included in the notice to members at least fourteen (14) days prior to the AGM. Constitution changes are considered as Special Resolutions.(Motions for ordinary resolutions can be made at anytime during a general meeting at the discretion of the meeting.)

2. Nominations to the Management Committee

The following positions will become vacant at the 2014 Annual General Meeting:

  • Treasurer
  • Professional Development Coordinator

Nominations are called for these positions. The Constitution stipulates the nomination which shall be signed in writing by the member and the member's proposer and seconder shall be lodged at least 14 days before the Annual General Meeting at which the election is to take place.

3. The NAGCAS Memorial Award

The NAGCAS Memorial Award ($500) is presented annually to an individual member of NAGCAS who has, during the past year, made an outstanding contribution to the work of careers services. Nominations are called for this award. Please send nominations with a proposer and a seconder with an outline of reason for nomination to Julie Howell This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. at least 14 days prior to the AGM, quoting reasons for nomination.

Closing date for nominations for the NAGCAS Memorial Award is midnight on Tuesday 18 November 2014.

4. Honorary Life Membership and Honorary Membership

Honorary life membership may be awarded to those who have given outstanding and meritorious service in furthering the objectives of the Association.

Honorary membership may be awarded for a period of two years to those who have made a significant contribution to furthering the objectives of the Association.

Nominations can be submitted at any time during the year for consideration by the Management Committee.
