Careers UC is part of the Student Engagement Directorate at the University of Canberra. As a Careers Educator, you will work in a small team to develop and facilitate career development programs through face to face advice, online resources, workshops and employer engagement.

Careers UC is looking for a motivated and active careers professional, with well-developed skills in developing innovative resources and programs for a variety of student cohorts. We are looking for someone with a well-rounded careers experience who is eager to contribute to a professional and dynamic Careers team.

The role will involve liaising with students, staff of the University, community services and a range of potential employer and will play an important role in supporting the University’s goal of achieving outstanding graduate employment outcomes.

Graduate Development Program survey

The Department of Finance have commissioned Hall & Partners I Open Mind to develop recommendations for a marketing strategy that will attract high calibre graduate applicants to its Graduate Development Program.

In this instance we have engaged our recruitment arm ERG Research to arrange the appointments.

University careers advisors and university faculty staff are key sources of information and advice for university students about their career options and recommendations regarding potential employers.

We are interested in exploring how information and marketing materials are displayed and presented to students, and from a key adviser perspective what is considered relevant and useful in the decision making processes.

The information we gather will inform the development of communication strategies, messaging and collateral to increase awareness of the Department’s Graduate program.

Position Vacant - WIL administration officer

RMIT College of Business is currently seeking a passionate and driven WIL professional to join their WIL Team as an Administration Officer to assist in WIL Administration and sourcing placements for Business students. The role is responsible for organising IBL (Industry Based Learning) placements for College of Business students, organising student and industry events and will be regularly liaising with industry and students in relation to other WIL programs and initiatives from the College of Business. This is a Fixed Term Full Time Position until Jan 2017. Experience in WIL/Career Development/Recruitment is highly regarded.
